National Archives of Zambia Director, Chileshe Lusale Musukuma has called on publishers to abide by Cap 161 of the laws of Zambia on the need to deposit 2 copies of every publication.
Mrs Musukuma says that one copy is meant for posterity and the other one to be used for research purposes as guided by the National Archives Act, Cap 175 of the laws of Zambia.
And Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security Assistant Director for Administration, Wesley Mutembo says one can not plan for the future if they do not know where they are coming from.
Mr. Mutembo has since made a clarion call to the citizenry to make use of the National Archives as it holds useful information both for personal and general use.
He said this when he visited the National Archives Headquarters to appreciate its operations on behalf of the Ministry’s Human Resource and Administration department.
