Registration of Societies in various categories and issuance of other compliance obligations according to the Societies Act Cap 119 of the Laws of Zambia
The system allows for the registration of the following;

Name Reservation
This is reserving a name for the society within thirty days before it is registered.
Clients come to the office and provide four proposed names which then and entered on the system to see if they not being used by another registered society. Once the proposed name of society does not bear the same or similar name to societies already registered, the proposed name is cleared and reserved on the system for a period of 30 days.

Amendments (change of office bearers)
Allows the registered societies to update their files when they change office bearers.
This service is provided for the societies to make changes on their files in cases where they change office bearers. The client fills in the SO 8 forms indicating the office bearers that have ceased to hold office and the new office bearers that have been introduced. The forms have to be cleared by police and District Secretary’s office.

Amendments (Change of name)
Allows the registered societies to update their files when they change the name of the society.

Allows the registered societies to update their files when they make amendments to the constitution of the society.

Search and extract of files
This allows the applicant to search for information on a file of a registered society
This allows the applicant to search for information on a file of a registered society. Upon payment of the service the client is given the file to peruse. When the client feels they need a copy of a document in the file then they pay an extract fee for every folio.

Payment of annual returns
Allows the clients to file in their annual returns
The applicant brings the duly filled in SO 9 indicating 5 office bearers and makes payment for the process. This is payed annually before 31st march.

Issuance of Duplicate Certificate
Allows the clients to get a duplicate certificate
The applicant is able to get a duplicate certificate in cases where their certificate is lost or has been damaged through fire and so on.
